Welcome to Smart TMS Dublin
The clinic specialises in the provision of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment, which is available for a range of difficult mental health and addiction conditions.
TMS therapy is a safe and completely non-invasive treatment which involves no medication, surgery or anaesthetic. Daily sessions are carried out by our trained practitioner over a few weeks, as the effectiveness of treatment builds up over a course of treatment.

By public transport
Smart TMS is located within the ‘Regus Building’, it has flags outside and is opposite the Embassy for Greece. It is a short walk away from bus stops with routes taking passengers all over the city. The closest bus stop is located on Lesson Street Lower, approximately 3 minutes walk away from the clinic..

Johnny - TMS practitioner
Johnny has long been fascinated by the relationship between brain and behaviour, psychopathology, and contemporary remedial approaches for a wide range of psychological disorders. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and dual Master’s degrees in Biological and Biomolecular Science and Applied Psychology (expected May 2025), Johnny combines academic expertise with hands-on experience to deliver personalised, evidence-based treatments.
Before joining Smart TMS, Johnny worked as a social care worker, providing tailored support to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, and addiction. He is certified in Therapeutic Crisis Management, de-escalation techniques, and the administration of life-saving medications for conditions such as opioid overdoses, hypoglycaemia, and epilepsy.
Johnny has significant experience working in neurorehabilitation, particularly with brain injury survivors, helping them regain independence, liberate individual potential, and overcome daily challenges through personalised rehabilitation plans. He is also a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and is in the process of registering with CORU as a social care worker. Johnny adopts a highly person-centred approach and is dedicated to providing compassionate, thoughtful care, ensuring that each patient feels valued, supported, and empowered throughout their treatment.
TMS treatments available
TMS has been proven to treat depression and anxiety as well as other mental health conditions and some addictions.
Most of the patients we treat here at Smart TMS (around 70%) are suffering from clinical depression – including seasonal affective disorder (SAD), perinatal depression and bipolar disorder.
